Dance with Gagaku × Moriyama Kaiji
2018 was a year of change for Gagaku. The reason is that there is plural ?s Gagaku ?t in Japan by two important gagaku groups's coming to Paris, France which is the center of the art in the world at almost the same time, and it became known to the world. As is well known, Gagaku, which was designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property in 1955, is limited to performances by the Imperial Household Agency's Shikibu-shiki-Shikiggaku Club, and based on this, only the Rakubu was registered in unesco's list of intangible cultural heritage in 2009. Against this background, there is a growing tendency for the music club to be advertised as "orthodox" in the world. However, in september 2018, the Gagaku> (music club) of the Imperial Family (Kaiji Moriyama × Korakusha) was performed in October. And, it was the latter that "Bravo" was called consecutively at the end. The audience, fascinated by Kaiji Moriyama, who plays in the universe and The Korakusha, which depicts the universe of gagaku, instantly understood the present and future of Gagaku.
