Shinjuku Liangshan Tori was formed in Tokyo in 1987 on behalf of Kin morin. The name of the theater company "Shinjuku Liangshan Tori" comes from the Chinese novel "滸", and as the name says, theater people who are active in various fields gathered. In search of the "restoration of the story (romance)" that is being lost to the Japanese theater world, and based on the philosophy of inheriting "Angra Theater" as a "culture" representing contemporary Japan and disseminating it to the world, he continues to actively work both in Japan and abroad. Since then, the evaluation of the actors who are responsible for the story has been increasing year by year, as it is appropriate to call itself the group of actors who represent the most dynamic creative vitality of contemporary Japanese theater.
