Remarks

Organizations Overview

The organization began in Paris in July 1965. Twelve countries participated in the founding general meeting at this time. The people who gathered felt the need to bring together individuals, professional theater companies, and theater organizations worldwide in order to improve the artistic standards of children and youth theater. I believed that this would contribute to the rich growth of children and youth around the world.
The first World Congress was held in Prague, Czechoslovakia the following year (1966). Participants from 14 countries. From Japan, the late Mr. Shinzo Ochiai is participating as an observer.
The organization continued to develop. The world championship was held every two years until the 4th. Since then, the scale has increased, so it was held every three years from the 5th World Congress. (See the page of the World Congress.)
The world championships have continued to be held and the number of member states continues to increase.
We, the "Ajusteji Japan Center", were established in May 1979 and became the 36th member state.
The Aiteji and Aitezi Japan Center continue to work with the aim of contributing to the rich growth of children and adolescents through theater.
