Yoichi Sugawara
Born in Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture, graduated from the National College of Music University and made his debut as an exclusive singer for "Shohei Hayakawa and Orquesta Tipica Tokyo" in 1985.
After that, he became a freelancer and performed nationwide performances every year with "Sakamoto Masakazu and Orquesta Tipica Portenia" with a focus on Osaka Labor Sound. "I don't want to know" Polydoll record released in 1965 is a big hit.
He has participated in NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen 22 times in a row since 1967. Among them, he sang the 31st (1980) and 39th (1988) masterpieces of Argentine Tango, "La Cumpulsita".
1998 Held a recital commemorating the 30th anniversary of singer life in Los Angeles, 6 cities in Japan. In September of the same year, he participated as a representative of Japan at the Seoul Song Festival & #039;88, the eve of the Seoul Olympics.
2008 The 50th anniversary recital of the singer's life was held at Shibuya Orchard Hall. At the end of December of the same year, he received the Japan Record Award for Merit.
