Steffan, cello> In April 2019, he won the second prize at the Josef Joachim International Chamber Music Competition, at the same time a special award for the best interpretation of contemporary works, the Winner of the Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition in June 2019, and the Heidon Prize and the Canadian Commissioned Works Award in September 2019. In 2018, he won the ROSL Competition (Commonwealth of England) in the Chamber Music Category. From 2015 to 2017, he was the first recipient of MitR's string quartet development program in Sheffield, north england. Formed at the Royal Royal College of Music (RCM) in 2013.
Currently based in London as a chamber music fellow organization of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, he studied under John Maiyasukow (Dorrick Quartet). He also completed a master's degree in chamber music under Oliver Wille (Kus Quartet) at the Hanover College of Music and Drama. He has received scholarships from numerous foundations in the UK, including the Royal Philharmonic Society, hattori Foundation, and musicians company.
So far, he has appeared on Deutscheland, Swedish Radio and BBC Radio 3. He has performed at music festivals throughout Europe, including Hitsacker (Germany), Rocken House (Austria), Edinburgh Fringe, North Norfolk and the British Lake District. Next season, he will make his debut at the Berlin Philharmonic and Wigmore Hall, perform all Beethoven String Quartet concerts in Sweden, perform Martinou's string quartet concerto with the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, cruise to Norway, and perform octets with the Dorrick String Quartet.
